Saturday Session 4 - Riley Room
In the past Sue has created kakejiku with students from Year 2 level, working with classroom teachers to write haiku focussing on the seasons. Students write their own haiku in English but transpose a famous haiku
of either Basho or Issa based on their favourite season to produce traditional
hanging scroll.
Learning language and culture through arts and crafts. In this session the aim is to demonstrate simply through traditional ink and brush craft how student engagement in language learning can be further enriched and deepened.
